EnterpriseSCHEDULE was the cure for East Carolina University's Brody School of Medicine's job scheduling needs For nearly a century, East Carolina University has served the people of North Carolina and the nation. We recently spoke to Roma Turner who works closely with EnterpriseSCHEDULE at East Carolina University's Brody School of Medicine. Utilizing GE Healthcare®'s Flowcast© software for their medical record reporting, East Carolina needed a way to automate their laborious report processing. When it came to end of month billing reports, they were resorting to manual submissions that were costly and time consuming. With the acquisition of EnterpriseSCHEDULE from ISE, they are now able to automate the submission of reports including the user input that they require.  More... EnterpriseSCHEDULE   One of the many features of SCHEDULE is the various ways to control text output... Distribution lists give you the ability to specify a list of standard PRINT commands (cp or mail commands will also work) to distribute the various types of print files a job produces. This list is independent of the actual job commands and it can readily be changed without affecting the logic of the job itself. Notification messages can be sent through electronic mail or broadcast messages as jobs progress through the system. For each job, you can indicate which users are to be notified when a job reaches a specific state (submitted, started, delayed, completed or failed). You can even define you own messages to be included in the notification. EnterpriseBACKUP MEDIA is a user-friendly, configurable program which transparently handles all aspects of tape library management and backup/restoration. It is composed of three separate programs, MEDIA, VAULT, and BCKMGR. These programs are designed to function together seamlessly to give you control over two of the most important elements of your computer system: the media library and backup/restoration. MEDIA is a program that performs the maintenance tasks associated with organizing and managing off-line media. By using MEDIA, you no longer need to have an OPERATOR present in the computer room at the exact moment you issue a command. You can submit a job and MEDIA executes your program and requests the necessary media automatically. Whenever the OPERATOR responds to the mount request, MEDIA reacts appropriately. SCHEDULE Tool Tip Is there an easy way of running reports from the EnterpriseSCHEDULE Windows Gui Client? Yes, running Reports in EnterpriseSCHEDULE just got a whole lot easier. In Schedule Version 7, prototype templates for Reports have been added. No longer do you need to know Report Writer scripting details. Simply chose a Report job template and create a Report job. In the newly created Report job property page, populate the fields you want to query against. You can select the output to go to a file or into the log of the job or even have it emailed to you.
