Campus USA, based in Gainsville, FL was chosen as the first to implement EnterpriseSCHEDULE following the recent agreement between USERS Incorporated and ISE, Inc. Campus USA’s Jim Thackrey worked closely with USERS during the implementation and testing stages. Jim was delighted that the implementation went so smoothly that they were able to go live with job scheduling after only two days of testing when they had planned on considerably longer.

Their main goal was to automate their DataSafe® applications as well as their VMS backups. They were also eager to begin scheduling Windows-based jobs - a new feature that their previous job scheduler did not have. Starting in their most intensive area of operations, monthly processing, they were looking for a product that would free their beleaguered nighttime operator from working until 4 AM every month end. With USERS expert support, they were able to create and automate about 200 DataSafe® jobs, letting the operator go home early and assuring the completion of their month end operations on time. 

When it came to assisting Campus USA with the initial implementation and testing, Jim was confident of USERS’ commitment to his operations from past experience. As usual they didn’t let him down. He said “USERS was superb. We were the first USERS client to go live with EnterpriseSCHEDULE and we got a lot of attention. We’ve always liked their systems department. They’re top notch.”

According to Jim, Campus USA’s future projects include the automation of their nightly processing and scheduling VMS backups using EnterpriseSCHEDULE. His experiences with EnterpriseSCHEDULE have “been great”.
